Adidas, makers of Kanye West’s line of Yeezy sneakers, unveiled the on-court uniforms for the NBA’s 2016 All-Star Game. The game, which will feature the league’s best players, takes place Feb. 14 in Toronto.
The German athletic company yesterday revealed the outfits that pay tribute to Canada — a maple leaf overlay is displayed on the front of the jerseys and the Toronto city skyline is splashed on the back.
“This is the first NBA All-Star Game to be played outside the United States, and it is a very exciting time for basketball in Canada,” said Chris Grancio, Adidas’ global basketball GM, in a statement. “To honor this global celebration and pay tribute to Toronto — the site of the NBA’s first game — we’ve incorporated design elements that are inspired by the city’s basketball history, sports culture and unique fashion scene to make an All-Star collection that players and fans will love.”
Players representing the Western Conference will wear red-and-white uniforms, while the Eastern Conference team will be decked out in white-and-blue.

In January, fans can get in on the action. The league plans to sell the All-Star jerseys for $70 to $110, in addition to a range of T-shirts, track jackets and headwear.
Adidas announced in March that it would not renew its 11-year contract with the NBA when it expires in 2017.
Nike is expected to take over outfitting the league’s players for the 2017-18 NBA season.
Earlier this week, Adidas debuted its new film, “Creators Never Follow,” starring James Harden.
The company signed Harden to a 13-year, $200 million deal in August.
