While the NBA Slam Dunk Contest has lost some steam in recent years, with the game’s biggest stars sitting on the sidelines to watch while lesser-known ballers take center stage, the NBA Three-Point Contest is still a fan favorite. This year’s contest will feature familiar faces as well as some new ones trying to take down reigning champion Stephen Curry.

Curry – who will wear the low-cut “Energy” iteration of his Under Armour Curry Two during the competition – is the overwhelming favorite to win this Saturday’s contest as well. The Golden State Warriors superstar guard has hit 245 of 540 threes so far this season, averaging 4.9 made three-pointers per game.

Although Curry won’t have to fend off Nike-endorsed Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving as he did in the final round of last year’s contest, he will have to defeat his teammate and fellow All-Star Anta-sponsored Klay Thompson. The Golden State guard has hit 161 shots from long range this season on 383 attempts, averaging 3.2 threes per game.

The only other participants returning from last year are Adidas-sponsored Houston Rockets guard James Harden (who will be wearing an Aurora Borealis-inspired player’s edition Crazylight Boost 2.5 for the All-Star Game) and J.J. Redick of the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden is shooting 35.5 percent from long range this season, and Redick is shooting 47.6 percent.

Curry will be defending his three-point crown against four other opponents: Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks (shooting 40.5 percent from three-point range), Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors (39.2 percent), Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat (36.5 percent), and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns (40.3 percent).

The contest is part of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night festivities, which will air on TNT at 8 p.m. EST.
